Do You take Specialty/Night Shots?
Yes! I love taking a few minutes at night to do dramatic one of a kind night shots and sparklers exits!
Can We Print our Images?
You bet. You will receive a USB with high resolution images that you can take to any lab to be printed. I will certainly give you referrals to a better lab if you wish. Large prints sometime require special prep. If you are getting a billboard size image let me know!
Are you a Full Time Photographer?
Yup. 24/7 365
Are You Insured?
Yes! Rest assured if all my gear gets stolen I have backups and I will be going on an immediate shopping trip haha!
What kind of equipment do you use?
Very expensive. Haha! I use only professional grade Nikon gear. I shoot with a D3S two D750 and a variety of super- awesome lenses, flashes etc. My gear bag cost more than our car. And we have a nice car!
I hate getting my picture taken…do we really need an engagement session?
For clients who are able to get to Fredericton or are able to swing a travel fee to their town an engagement session is always preferable to have. They teach you how to relax in front of the camera, how I work etc. They also help me get to know you as a couple and how you interact together. On your wedding day we will have much less time for portraits and I love for everyone to hit the ground running. Engagement sessions are especially important for clients who “hate having their photo taken”. Very often finding out how easy it really is and how much I will support you through the posing process will ease your mind on the big day!
How long is the typical coverage for a wedding day?
My normal coverages range from 10-14 hours. It really all depends on your day and what you want covered. Typically most couples will want from the end of makeup to a half an hour after the first dances/cake cutting/bouquet toss is finished. In 90 % of weddings that is about 8-10 hours. If you want hair and extended dancing or night portraits/ sparkler exit covered that is more in the 10-12 hour range. For that reason hours are discounted when added on to a package. Don’t try to jam it in! If you run over on your day I will always stay and simply bill your extra time in 1/2 hour increments after your wedding.
Do you edit my photos?
Your images are edited for colour and exposure correction. Head and shoulders and closer portraits are edited for zits, etc.
How do I pay you and when?
Your retainer is due upon booking to secure your date. The rest of your total is divided in half with a payment due five months and then one month before your wedding. If you wish to set up a payment plan or pre-pay your wedding that’s fine as well, as long as the balance is paid one month before your wedding. Spreading out payments helps clients from getting overwhelmed by wedding expenses! Most clients pay by Interac Transfer. I also accept Visa and Mastercard as well.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! Quite a bit actually. I’d say about 50 % of my weddings are outside the Fredericton area. My travel fee is .50/km and a $150.00 hotel fee. I stay overnight if your wedding is longer than 6 hours and ends after dark. Safety First! No sense shooting your wedding if it ends up in the ditch!
How and when should we book you?
My clients normally book anywhere from 24-8 months before their wedding date to ensure that they get their desired date but as long as your date is not on my list it’s up for grabs! Saturday and long weekend dates are normally the first to go! Dates are booked with a retainer fee and a signed contract. They are booked on a first come, first served basis. Often more than one couple will inquire on the same date and holding a date becomes impossible, awkward and just disappointing for someone! I keep an up to date booking calendar on my site so just check in to see if your date is still free.
